About Bruno Paucard – Scaleo chip

Bruno Paucard joined Scaleo chip as Chief Executive Officer in September 2007.

Bruno has 21 years experience in the semi-conductor industry and over 17 years of senior leadership experience in early stage companies including 12 years focusing on imaging and printing market.

Prior to joining Scaleo chip, Bruno hold the position of President of TAK Imaging France, COO and founder of TAK Imaging group, a Silicon Valley based emerging growth company providing complete system solutions to the consumer photo inkjet and dye sublimation printer markets, for which he help raised in excess of $40M in series A, B and C of Venture Capital money. TAK Imaging was sold to InSilica in August 2007.

After obtaining a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering in 1986, Bruno Paucard started his career as Engineer at INRIA, a French research center in computer technology, before joining GIPSI in 1989 as ASIC Leader. He funded TAK’ASIC, an ASIC design house boutique, in 1991, that he transformed into a printing technology product company in 2000, and flipped to a US entity in 2003. TAK’ASIC changed name in 2004 to become TAK Imaging.

Michael Hochholzer

About Michael Hochholzer, Baytech Venture Capital

Michael joined BayTech Venture Capital in 2007. His focus is on companies in the communications and cleantech markets. Michael today is working on the boards of inge Watertechnologies AG, Open Plug SA, Scaleo chip SA, UDcast SA and Ubidyne, Inc.

Michael has more than 15 years of Venture Capital as well as operational experience in the communications and microelectronics industries. Prior to joining BayTech, Michael was a Partner with Siemens Venture Capital and Infineon Ventures. He managed more than 10 investments in European, Israeli and US east coast startup companies.

Michael gained professional experience in operations with Siemens and Infineon Technologies. He held several positions in marketing, product line management and R&D. In his responsibility as VP and General Manager of a corporate-internal start-up, he launched Infineon’s RFID business. Educated at the Technical University of Munich, Michael graduated with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. His subsequent Ph.D. thesis focused on optical communication.

Jean-Michel Beghin

About Jean-Michel Beghin, Managing Director – R Capital  

Jean-Michel joined the Venture Capital sector after more than 10 years of engineering, operational and consulting experiences both in the Silicon Valley and in different European countries.  

After holding a position as Partner of the Natexis Venture Capital activity, Jean-Michel created the Venture Capital activity of the Rothschild Group. His recent investments include Scaleo chip, Picochip, Emulation & Verification Engineering (EVE), Chipidea and Ip.access.  

Prior to joining the Venture Capital sector, Jean-Michel worked throughout Europe as Senior Manager in the Strategy and Management Consulting department of Ernst & Young and in the Corporate Finance area.  

Before his European experience, Jean-Michel held various engineering and management roles in the Silicon Valley at several small and large companies: Fault Tolerant Systems, startup based in California, and Hewlett-Packard.  

Jean-Michel holds an Engineering degree and an M.B.A.

Marion Aubry

About Marion Aubry, Seventure Partners

Marion joined SPEF - now Seventure - in 1999 as part of the management team of the SPEF Pre-IPO European Fund and then the SPEF e-FUND, where she was responsible for a number of transactions and monitored various investments, involved in particular in several areas of the software and internet media markets.

She invested in and followed-up portfolio companies such as Budget Telecom (IPO on Alternext en 2006), Danionics (IPO on Copenhagen Stock Exchange in 2001) and Emailvision (IPO on Alternext in 2006). She is a board member of Emailvision, Talentsoft, Scaleo chip, Netasq, Transatel and W4. Graduated of ESCP-EAP, Marion began her career at Exane's equity research department.
